Last Wednesday, February 9th, CIVIC hosted a fundraiser in support of Afghan refugee resettlement. Thanks to the generosity of our members and community, we raised a total $813.28 for the Catherine McAuley Center (CMC)! This money will go towards providing a multitude of valuable services for refugees in Eastern Iowa. Again, we would like to extend our sincerest thanks to all those who contributed, as well as to our amazing guest speakers, Sara Zenjnic and Hikmatullah Jamili.
